Brief

As a leading global qualification ACCA updated its qualification to ensure it provided businesses with accountants who had more than just technical skills and be able to have broader business understanding via a new syllabus, which involved a radical new case study which was very different in style. It had the potential to be something challenging to teach and I was tasked with developing a train the trainer programme for tuition providers around the world.

Outcome

After consultation with the ACCA technical experts and the examining team and quite a few iterations later, we had a product which was then rolled out in over 20 countries and I spent significant time in Africa, Asia and the Carribean.

Following its success and demand for more we then developed a more advanced version and rolled that out in a similar way. The results of the first few exams showed that we had indeed managed to convince people that a chalk and talk approach was no longer relevant and out more interactive approach had been adopted.
